How We Started

LeafSpa Organic Tea began as a small family business with a lot of passion. Coming originally from large corporate backgrounds (and sick of that type of environment), husband and wife team Steven and Jennifer initially just wanted to create a small company that sold premium quality organic teas and tea blends to their friends, family, and community health food stores. And that's what we did for the next two years until we suddenly realized we were doing something we loved, something that would benefit the environment and we were making a living at it too! The only problem was that we needed to grow.

So for that past several years, we have added two manufacturing/wharehouse locations and continued to grow our business around our passion for organic tea, fair trade and our community. We now offer one of the largest catalogs of USDA certified organic teas around, nearly one-quarter of which are also Fair Trade Certified®. We sell to retail and wholesale customers in over 34 different countries around the globe. But, our committed goal is still to provide individualized attention to each and every customer, ensuring that our gourmet loose leaf organic teas and herbs exceed their expectations every time they shop with us.

Environmentally Sound

Equally important to our customer satisfaction is our desire to make the world a better place which is why LeafSpa is dedicated to environmental issues and improving global trade conditions. Our products are packaged in reusable and recyclable materials. Our offices and warehouse all use recycled paper products and environmentally safe cleansers. All our shipping materials are 100% recycled. But, even that is not enough for us. We are constantly looking for ways to reduce the environmental impact of our "green" facilities. With that in mind, LeafSpa participates in carbon offsetting and is also a proud member of the Organic Trade Association, the Specialty Tea Institute, and Green America's Green Business Network.
