Organic Bai Mudan White Tea
Click for Detail

This is a Competition Grade Bai Mudan white tea from the Fujian province of China. The dry leaf and infusion is a medley of colors and textures producing extraordinary perfumed liquor suggesting lilacs and apricots. Bai Mudan (tr. White Peony) tea is picked as two leaves wrapped around a bud shoot. The tea has many long silver leaf buds with variegated bright green to silvery brown leaves. It offers a rich taste, more robust than most white teas but with a slight sweetness underneath.

I totally dig this tea. good things: 1) it's organic, 2) it's lighter in caffeine, 3) more anti-oxidants than even green teas. just make sure to brew it long enough but at a lower temp. that's KEY! enjoy.

This was the first time I tried white tea. After reading about all the health benefits I thought I would give it a try. Now, I’m hooked. White tea is my drink of choice. It is light and more floral than the green tea. Green tea always tastes a bit too strong for me, but this white tea was perfect.

I’m writing this review because I’m back at LeafSpa ordering more of this tea. A friend made me try white tea many months ago (from a local café) and it did nothing for me. But then I had this as a sample recently and now I love it. I guess I didn’t get the best quality before. There was no comparison in taste.
